Sometimes we focus more on perfection and productivity and forget that connection is just as important. Our busy schedules get very full very fast, and we forget to schedule time with God.
We have to remember that if the Lord does not remain in us and us in Him, we will not be able to prosper and bless other people with our time, mercy, kindness, and compassion. Because all of those great characteristics mirror Christ, and how can you be like Christ when He isn't within you?
Like it says in the verse, we cannot be fruitful unless we remain in Him, so if we don't remain in him and him within us, we will not bear the fruit of which come with being planted in Christ. God has a plan for each and every one of us, and we can not walk through plans in our lives with disconnection from God.
Prayer:
Lord, we ask you to help us take time for you in our lives, prioritize you above all else, and grow our love and understanding of you. Lord I ask you to help us bear the fruits of your Spirit and character in every part of our lives. We thank you for all that you do, and I ask you to help us grow to be more like you in all that we do. We ask you to move in our lives and the people around us. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
