We are the light of the world. This world can be a dark place. If you look around at the state, we are in now it can almost feel like we are suffocating in darkness. That is why it is so important that we shine our light.
We know that evil will never win. God will always remain victorious. We can find comfort in knowing this.
But just because we know God will be victorious doesn't mean we have to let the darkness stifle out most of the light. It is up to us to shine our light for Jesus. He has given us the tools and ability, we just need to fan the flames.
It is important that we share God's, love, word, and light with others. That is how we give people hope and bring them to Jesus. We get to choose how bright our light shines and how much of Jesus we share with others. So choose to shine your light as bright and wide as possible. You never know who's path will become visible in that light.
We share the good news because our love for God and our love for others. It's not about what we can get in return but simply a response to God's love for us.
Prayer:
God we love you. Overwhelm us with your love and a desire to share it with others. Help us to be a light for you. To be people that seek after your presence and bring others with us. Lord give us, courage, strength, and boldness in all that we do for you. Lead us to the lost and hurting and help us to reach them, in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
