We need to live a surrendered life. Our life here on this earth should be spent glorifying and serving God. We are only here for a short time. The world will tell us we need to cease the day, do what makes us happy. But that is not what we are here for. We don't want to waste a single moment of our lives not walking in God's plan for us. We don't need to serve ourselves, we need to serve God. Just as Jesus laid his life down we need to lay our life down and follow him. Does that mean we won't be happy? No, when we are truly walking in God's plan for our life, we will experience Joy and fulfillment that we have never felt before. We will find ourselves enjoying doing things we thought we wouldn't. We need to trust God and his plans and say yes to his will. The only way to experience true joy is with God, being obedient to him. Surrendering to God is a choice, we need to make everyday.
Prayer:
Lord we thank you for your goodness. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice. Help us to be humble, selfless, surrendered servants. We want to live our life to honor you, take control Lord. Remove our selfishness and give us the strength, courage, and boldness, we need to be your servant, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
