There is no rock like our God. There is nothing in this world that you can lean on, stand on, or trust in that can even compare to our God. Any other rock you choose to lean on will crumble under the pressure. No job, no addiction, no lie, no amount of money, nothing else can support you and sustain you expect God. So quit running from the Father and just be still, put all your faith and trust in him. Allow him to be your stronghold, your support, your strength, and your source of peace. We all need to ask ourselves what we are leaning on? If the answer is not God we need to fall at his feet and ask him to take his place as head of our life and lessen the importance of whatever else we were leaning on.
Prayer:
Lord we are coming to you and asking you to take your place in our lives. You are the head of our lives and the rock we lean on. Forgive us for any time we have put something above you or tried to lean on something else besides you. If there is anything we are leaning on over you reveal it to us and help us to let go of our faith in whatever it is. We want to be fully dependent on you. Help us to step out in faith and trust you in all things. Help us to lean on you, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
