The beginning of this verse tells us that love is patient. So, if we truly love someone, we have to show them patience. We can't expect them to always do everything, know everything, or change immediately. If we love someone, we need to be patient with them, not getting angry or annoyed with them. But instead showing love by meeting them where they are at. Oftentimes when we are annoyed by something, or someone it is because we have unfair expectations of them. Showing patience is showing love. The Lord is patient with us so in return we need to treat others and ourselves with patience.
Prayer:
Lord change our hearts and our minds. Help our first response to any situation to be love. Change our outlook and help us to be more like you. We thank you for your love Lord, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
Verse:
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
