Take Refuge in God
We all can and should take refuge in God. Jesus welcomes us to come to him, set down our heavy load, and rest in his peaceful presence. The world often brings on a lot of stressful and negative situations. It’s important that we stop and rest in God's presence and that we do it often. Even if it’s just thirty minutes or an hour it will recharge us to handle the problems life throws at us with peace and positivity. You can rest in God's presence by taking time to just talk to God throughout your day, while you're driving, going on a walk, or just sitting at home. You can also schedule time in your day to be still and meditate on God's word and communicate these times to your friends and family. This can help you stay accountable when life tries to pull you into work and other activities.
Prayer:
Thank you for being the God of peace. Thank you God for giving us rest from the heavy burdens of the world. Please help us to remember to stop and let your peace fill us. Thank you for always providing a way for us. Please help us to have the patience to make time in our life to be still. Thank you for blessing us and loving us so abundantly. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Scripture:
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Psalm 91:1‭-‬2 ESV
