Build Each Other Up
We should all be kind to one another, and always try to build each other up. We often have so much opportunity to spread Gods love: friends, family, people we meet. Even simply smiling at a stranger is a good way to share Gods love. When we’re in the middle of anger we should take a second to think and make sure whatever we say isn’t degrading to someone else. When we think of a sarcastic response maybe choose a kind one instead. When someone else is angry instead of becoming angry ourselves we can remain calm and try to diffuse the situation. It can be hard to change habits or remain calm when someone else isn’t it will take conscious choice at first but it will soon become habit. Another important part of building each other up is showing your gratitude to others. And letting them know when they’ve done a good job. Everyone could use some reassurance from time to time and it will make us feel good to show kindness to others.
Prayer:
Thank you God for loving us even when we don’t deserve it. Thank you for the grace and mercy you give us each day. Please give us patience and strength to not sin in anger. Thank you for showing us the areas we need to change in our lives and giving us the self discipline we need to make those changes. Thank you Jesus for setting the ultimate example and loving everyone, even the ones you knew would reject you. Please help us to be more like you and to spread your love to everyone we meet. Please guide us on the path you have for us, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
