Without Jesus' sacrifices on the cross, we would still be helpless, lost sinners. We would have no future but death. When Jesus died on the cross and rose again he changed that. With his sacrifice, he gives us a choice to have eternal life in heaven. He stood in the gap and was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Through Jesus we now can repent of our sins and turn to him to live eternity with the Father.
Even though Jesus was the only sinless person to walk this earth he still willing surrender to the fathers will and was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. He knew what must be done and the suffering he would endure for you and I, yet he loved us enough to do it anyways.
Prayer:
Thank you for your sacrifice, Jesus. Thank you that you loved us enough to die on the cross for our sins. Help us to always remember the cross and what you did for us, and to spread the good new to others. We love you and we praise you and we honor you, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
Scripture:
For when the time was right, the Anointed One came and died to demonstrate his love for sinners who were entirely helpless, weak, and powerless to save themselves. Now, would anyone dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person. But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly!
