Practice Discipline in your Daily Tasks
Life here on this earth is full of responsibilities. There are things we handle once, every once in a while, and every day. Sometimes these tasks can feel like a nuisance, like a never ending cycle of work, with little meaning to it. But when you begin to think about the task and what they do for you or why you can even do them, you can begin to complete the task with a purpose not just because you have to. For instance, paying your bills, nobody likes to pay bills. It cost us money, but we know we want to keep the lights on. You could sit every month and dreadfully pay your light bill, or you could think about how big of a blessing it is you can afford your light bill, or the fact that God has provided for you and you have a house to live in to even have a light bill.
Our tasks and responsibilities aren't going anywhere. We need to discipline ourselves in doing all things from paying bills to doing laundry. This scripture tells us if we practice discipline in handling our responsibilities, we will be rewarded with an abundance to cover our needs. Let's do our best to work diligently and look to the blessing in all tasks, so we can complete them with a grateful heart.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for your many blessings. Thank you for always providing for us even in the little things we don't see. Forgive us for any time we have been ungrateful. Help us to be full of gratitude always looking for the blessing in every task and circumstance. Help us to shift our way of thinking to see you and your blessing in all things. We ask that you give us strength Lord, and a joyful attitude, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
