Daily Devotion 2-9-24

We need to have self-control. We have to control our emotions and actions. No matter how we feel, we have the choice on how we want to react. You can be furious and still respond in love. You can be tired but still serve. We can be hurt but still show that person love. You have the choice to choose love always. How you carry yourself is important, especially when we are following Christ. Showing love does not mean letting people walk all over you but instead responding in a righteous way. A way that is not hateful, annoyed, or angry, but patient, merciful and with love. Anger does not solve problems but instead creates them. Love brings people together and is stronger than any moment of anger or annoyance.

Prayer:
Lord we thank you for always showing us love. For showing us grace and mercy when we don't deserve it. Help us to be more like you, to show others love even when we don't want to. Give us patience, peace and self-control to respond to any situation in love. Help us to have compassion for others and to choose love in any circumstance. Help us to be your hands and feet Father, in Jesus name we pray Amen.

Verse:
