Daily Devotion 2-7-24

The situations of the world often test our faith. It’s sometimes hard to stay faithful during trials but this verse tells us exactly what we need to do in order to stay faithful during tribulations. First, we rejoice in hope, rejoice means to feel or show great joy or delight. So we shouldn’t feel miserable or depressed when experiencing trials, instead be joyful in the hope that a better day is coming and this trial will make you stronger. Second, be patient in tribulation. When we’re waiting on God to bring us through the tribulation or give us our solution we must be patient. Patient means to wait peacefully and joyfully, without becoming anxious or unhappy. Third, be constant in prayer talking to God is what’s going to give us strength through the hard times. Only God can pull us through and work it all out for our good. Our first response to a problem should always be prayer.

Prayer:

Thank you for being our hope in the hard times. Thank you for giving us peace and joy that doesn’t rely on the understanding of this world but comes from you alone. Thank you for carrying us through the trials in life and always making a way for us. Please help us to be more patient when waiting for your perfect timing. Thank you for always working for our good. Please guide us on the path you have for us, Lord. Thank you for giving us a sound mind and a joyful heart. Thank you for loving us unconditionally, in Jesus name we pray, amen

Scripture:
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
