Daily Devotion 2-15-24

The people you surround yourself with matters. Your friends have influence on you and your behaviors. If you surround yourself with negative people who live in the world, they will constantly be trying to pick away at you. You will eventually start giving in and turning little parts of yourself to a worldly life or you will grow apart. If you want to live a holy life that honors God you need to find people that long to honor God like you do. Everyone is at different places with their walk with God and God teaches people different things. When we spend time together we impress on each other, we can help each other grow. Who you spend time with matters, so pick your friends wisely and strive to honor God with your friendships. Everything we do should honor God.
Prayer:
Lord we love you. We know that community matters. We can either build each other up and encourage each other, or we can pull each other farther from you and your will for our life. Help us to choose our friends wisely. Give us the wisdom to pick people who will help us draw closer to you. Help us to be a friend that encourages others and pushes them closer to you. We want our life to honor you, we want our relationships to honor you. Help us to be a person you can use to encourage others to follow you. We love you, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
Scripture:
It takes a grinding wheel to sharpen a blade, and so one person sharpens the character of another.
Proverbs 27:17 TPT
