Daily Devotion 12-1-23

The Lord doesn't love us for our strength or the things we can do for him. God does not want us to do things in our own strength but to fear him, and to be genuinely devoted to serving him. We need to live our life to serve and honor, and love him. We need to surrender to Him and His will. Putting all our hope, trust, and faith in him. Sometimes we can get busy or distracted and choose to do other things rather than serve God. We need to practice obedience and aligning our priorities with God. Life is busy and sometimes hard but this life only last a moment compared to the eternity we will spend in heaven. Let's work on being obedient to the Lord, fearing Him, and using our life to serve and honor him.
Prayer:
Lord we thank you for your goodness and mercy. We thank you for your many blessings. We want our life to honor you God. Help us to be obedient to you, to have ears that hear you speak and to be open to where your spirit is leading us. We put all our faith in you, we trust that you will never fail us. Help us to put you first in our life and to surrender to you in all things, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
Verse:
He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might. No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭147:10‭-‬11‬ ‭NLT‬‬
