Psalm 148 is all about praising the Lord our God. There are no doubts after reading Psalm 148 that God is above all and there is no one like Him. Also, that he is worthy to be praised. All of creation is called to praise Him. We as the church struggle at times with this command and find ourselves praising/worshiping the things he has created or blessed us with instead of worshipping our God, the Creator. The thing is, we would never have those things if our Creator didn't create them and bless us with them. He deserves to be thanked and praised for all things, in all ways. God is above all and should be exalted above all. He never forgets us and always provides a way for His people.
Prayer:
Father God, I ask that you open our eyes to your commands and your greatness. I pray we all honor you with all things, and that our hearts and spirit are full of Praise for you always. For you are above all things and worthy to be praised with all that we have. Keep our eyes open to you, our creator. We thank you for all the blessings you have given us and all the ways you have made for us. May we never lose sight of that and honor and praise you through it. We thank you and Love you, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
Verse:
Let them all praise the name of the Lord. For his name is very great; his glory towers over the earth and heaven!
