We are the body of Christ. All Christians are united as children of God. As Christians, we are called to love all people, even our enemies, but especially our brothers and sisters. As the body of Christ, we should be building each other up, supporting each other in all things. We not only individually but as a whole are a representation of God to nonbelievers. Lots of people are turned off from Church and God because of the way church people have treated them, and that should not be happening. We need to be calling people to God and encouraging them in their journey, not judging them and pushing them away. It starts in the church. If we could love each other more and show the kindness God shows us in the church nonbelievers would see and want to be a part of it. We need to do better, we need to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Showing love and kindness to all.
Prayer:
Lord we thank you for your goodness and love. We thank you that you show us kindness and mercy. Help us to be more like you each day. Fill us with your compassion, kindness, patience, and love. We want to be your hands and feet Lord, help us to do it in a way that points to you, in Jesus name we pray Amen.
