Daily Devotion 1-26-24

God is not Slow to Fulfill his Promises. When you look around at the world today, it can almost seem like God has abandoned his people. It can look like how much more can we take until God will return for his people? We must remember God's timing is always perfect. He has not abandoned us, he is with us in the storm. God will fulfill his promises. He loves us and wants as many people to repent and turn to him as possible. So even if you are ready for God to return that doesn't mean everyone is. As Christians we should be gladly waiting for the lord and helping God to harvest as many souls as possible, by sharing his word. Even if their is just one more soul it will be worth the wait for that person to make it to heaven. We all know God leaves the 99. Don't look at the waiting as a negative thing, look at it as God being patient with us and giving us time to come to him.
Pray:
Lord we trust you, we know your timing is perfect. We thank you that you don't do things on our terms because we know your ways are better. We ask that you have your way. Let your will be done in our life and in this world in Jesus name we pray Amen.
Scriptures:
So, dear friends, don’t let this one thing escape your notice: a single day counts like a thousand years to the Lord Yahweh, and a thousand years counts as one day. This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals his loving patience toward you, because he does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:8‭-‬9 TPT
