Delight in the Lord and be Thankful
Sometimes our daily tasks can feel pointless or just like a never ending to-do list. The laundry's overflowing, the sinks full, and the kids are hungry and waiting on you for dinner. Everyday task are always going to be there, it's not something we can change. What we can change is the outlook we have toward these tasks. Take the dread and turn it into delight, delight in the Lord and be thankful you can do these things. Look past the chore and look to the blessing it signifies. Dishes mean the Lord has provided you and your family food to eat, laundry means you have clothes to wear, those always hungry but never like what you make kids may test your patience, but you wouldn't want to be here without them. Look at the blessing in all tasks, take the time to thank the Lord for his many blessings and all the things he has provided for you. Smile when you see your baby in their freshly washed favorite shirt, soak in the time you get to spend with your family around the dinner table, we won't have it forever. When you change your outlook on the task your heart and spirit will be overflowing with gratitude instead of dread.
PRAYER:
Lord today we are coming to you with a weary spirit, we have allowed our daily task to beat us down, but we no longer want to be this way. We ask that you help us to change our outlook on our daily task help us to see you in everything and not just see the task we don't want to do. We repent father we ask you to forgive us for not seeing your blessings in these tasks Lord. I honor you father and thank you for your many blessings even when we did not see them, Lord. Thank you for your goodness in Jesus name we pray Amen.
